Julia Wilson, MFT Student Intern @ Ember Psychotherapy Group
I'm Julia, as a Marriage and Family Therapy intern, I am passionate about working with families, couples, and children as they navigate challenges and build stronger connections. Life can feel overwhelming when you're juggling anxiety, relationship challenges, chronic or invisible illnesses, or trying to heal from experiences that still linger. You deserve a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no pressure, no judgment, just support. I offer therapy that feels approachable, culturally responsible, and genuinely human, so you can breathe a little easier while we sort through what’s weighing on you.
I work with teens, adults, couples, and families across generations, and I’m especially passionate about supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, autoimmune and chronic health conditions, communication issues, and major life transitions. My style is laid back, fun, and easy to talk with, and clients often tell me they appreciate how inviting, authentic, and non‑judgmental the space feels. Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational, blending humor, curiosity, and steady guidance.
I draw from Bowen Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, CBT, attachment‑based work, and trauma‑informed approaches to help you understand deeper patterns while building practical tools for everyday life. Whether you’re seeking healing, clarity, or stronger relationships, therapy can be a powerful step toward the life you want to create—and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward growth and connection.
As a Student Intern, Julia receives direct and clinical supervision from a SCMFT approved clinical supervisor, Brittney Brooks, PsyD, LMFT, CCTP, (Dr.Britt@emberpsychgroup.com); as well as AZBBHE approved clinical supervisor, Danica Williams, LPC, PMH-C. Her work is logged, monitored, discussed, and reviewed by her clinical supervisor. Client care is handled with professional quality; knowledge, feedback, and insight are gained from a team of professionals. Counselor accountability, growth, and development within this supportive infrastructure is emphasized.
