Hi! I’m Tori I’ve been working in the mental health field for 10 years, gaining experience in a variety of settings, and I’ve found my passion in helping adolescents, young adults, and adults navigate the ups and downs of life. This time in life is full of growth, change, and self-discovery—exciting, but also intimidating. I love supporting my clients through managing anxiety, depression, stress, and interpersonal challenges, and helping them build the skills to thrive. I take a laid-back approach to therapy, aiming to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. Humor is a big part of my style—life is tough enough, so I believe therapy should have some light moments. That said, I know when to be serious, and I’ll be right there with you as we work through whatever’s on your mind. I’m here for people from all walks of life, and I’m a strong ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. My approach combines Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you develop practical tools for managing emotions, improving relationships, and making real, lasting changes in your life. In our work together, you’ll gain valuable insight into your thought patterns, learn skills to cope with stress, and build the resilience to live more authentically and mindfully. Outside of therapy, you’ll probably find me spending time with loved ones, catching concerts, watching horror movies, or taking walks. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey to greater well-being. Reach out if you’d like to learn more or get started!
I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy for college students and young adults in the Pittsburgh area and throughout Pennsylvania via telehealth. Many of the students I work with are dealing with anxiety, academic pressure, relationship challenges, identity questions, and the stress of major life transitions. My approach to therapy is insight-oriented and collaborative. I integrate psychodynamic therapy with practical strategies drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. Therapy provides a space to better understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships while developing healthier ways of responding to stress. Students often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Together we work to clarify what is happening beneath the surface, build emotional resilience, and create meaningful change in areas such as anxiety, depression, relationships, and self-confidence. I provide both in-person sessions in Carnegie, Pennsylvania and secure online therapy throughout the U.S. via PSYPACT. Prior to private practice I trained and worked full time at five counseling counseling centers in various cities.
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, academic stress, attachment-related issues, and the emotional effects of childhood trauma, family dynamics, and unmet relational needs. In our work together, we create space for self-discovery, healing, and reconnection—with your needs, your values, and your inner sense of wisdom and power. Reaching out for support is a brave step. If you're ready to feel more grounded and connected, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
I feel the most important aspect of counseling is the relationship between the counselor and client. If we are able to create a genuine relationship that is grounded in authenticity and trust, we can further your understanding of yourself, your experiences, and how you engage with the world. I aim to help people by cultivating a safe environment where thoughts and emotions can be deeply felt, and where we can discover what steps you can take in your life that better align with your values. Through counseling, we can learn how to acknowledge thoughts, feelings, and past experiences without having them overwhelm or define us. I believe that the present is the most important time to be in; however, many things from the past (or even the future) can hold us back from experiencing what is going on around us. When we are able to process our past and our future, we are finally able to connect with the current moment we are living in. I have worked with people experiencing different challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, interpersonal stress, and identity/self-esteem issues. Ultimately, I am passionate about working with anyone who feels “stuck” and wants to find meaning in their life. Moving forward is possible, no matter how long you have felt stagnant.
This is an adult practice that works with individuals who are struggling with mood disorders, grief/loss, anxiety, and relationship issues.
Strong Foundations was founded and is actively managed by a licensed child psychologist, ensuring our practice prioritizes the highest quality of care in psychotherapy and assessments. Guided by the ethical principles of our field, our primary mission is to provide the best possible match between patient and provider. We don’t focus on filling schedules—we take on new clients only when we are confident we have the tools and training to help them effectively. Strong Foundations began in 2018 with a simple goal: to create a team of exceptional providers who work collaboratively to address the mental health needs of our community. We’re proud to have achieved that vision and continue to work diligently every day to maintain the quality and trust our clients have come to expect.
I see one of the most important roles as a therapist to be putting in the work to earn someone’s trust and walking beside them as an accomplice on their path towards growth. I don’t believe that people are “broken” or “need to be fixed”, but rather that somewhere within every person lies the capacity to generate change. I believe this change begins by finding someone trustworthy to support them through this process. And—that being kinder and gentler towards ourselves goes a long way to building the foundation for this change to occur. My experiences span across 15 years, with the scope of my direct work supporting clients in their exploration of gender expression/transition, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss and more- all within Allegheny County. I am also happy to provide evaluations and letters for Gender Affirming surgeries, Green Card Status, and Emotional Support Animals. The world is an often hard place to be, and my goal is to create a space for softness to occur. To not only listen but to hear and understand. To respect through accountability. To address struggles through processing and also through action leading to systemic change.

Hi! I'm from Pittsburgh and proud to be practicing in my home town. Therapy ranges from directive to less structured approaches. Directive approaches involve identifying a specific problem and starting interventions including skill building for the client. Less directive therapy involves self exploration and understanding our symptoms in an interpersonal context. These two approaches can be combined, tailored to the client. The client's responsibility is committing to therapy, and showing up weekly at the designated time, and engaging in the process. While the therapist is an expert in psychology, the client is an expect in themselves and is ultimately the source of change and improvement. I see myself as a guide, helping the client see things they may have missed or avoided, and making connections that wouldn't otherwise be obvious. The process is collaborative and frequently rewarding.
Welcome! I enjoy working collaboratively with folks to identify new coping skills, process difficult emotions, memories, and thoughts. My clients often are adolescents or young adults seeking assistance with social anxiety, stressful life transitions, depression, gender identity, sexuality, relationship and/or family conflicts.

Therapy utilization is at an all time high in the United States. Just by looking for a therapist, you have done something brave and started your journey to healing. Many of my clients are individuals or couples who are frustrated with patterns that are no longer working for them and are looking for a guide to hold them accountable in reaching their goals. This means that I am not afraid to explore topics that many other therapists may shy away from like gender, spirituality, and politics. I also use mindfulness and creative arts therapy techniques to help clients express and understand their emotions. Life can be overwhelming and stressful, but you don't have to deal with it alone. Make the choice to put your wellness first.
