Therapists for college students near University of Texas at Austin
Welcome! Starting therapy is a big step. I understand how overwhelming it can be to experience anxiety, stress, or intrusive thoughts. It takes courage to seek help, and I am so glad you are here! Therapy is most effective when it is tailored to you and uses research-backed treatment. I use evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). These therapies are supported to alleviate symptoms and empower you to reclaim your life—returning to activities that anxiety may have previously taken you away from.
I'm a licensed therapist who works with first-generation college students, children of immigrants, and culturally diverse young adults navigating the ups and downs of college life and early adulthood. As an immigrant myself, I truly get it—the push and pull between cultures, carrying your family's dreams on your shoulders, feeling proud of your background while also wanting to find your own way, and all the complicated feelings that come with it. Whether you're dealing with family expectations, figuring out your identity, managing academic stress, or just trying to adjust to everything that college throws at you, I bring both personal understanding and professional experience to our conversations. This is a warm, judgment-free space where you can talk about what's really going on, recognize the strengths you already have, and learn practical ways to handle whatever challenges come up.

Everyone says you’re “young,” “in your prime,” and living what are supposed to be “the best years of your life”…why doesn’t it feel that way? As you try to juggle school and work and family and relationships, you might constantly worry that you aren’t good enough or aren’t doing this right. Hi, I’m Tony, and I offer virtual therapy for college students navigating anxiety, identity, and everything in between. College can feel like both a fresh start and a heavy weight—especially when you’re trying to figure out who you are in a world that often expects you to have all the answers. If you’re feeling anxious, uncertain about the future, or just not quite yourself, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to go through it alone either. In my practice, I work with college students who are dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, identity questions, and the pressure to “get it right.” Many of my clients are exploring who they are outside of other people’s expectations—especially around gender, sexuality, culture, and family. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I create a space where all parts of you are welcome and respected. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, untangle what’s going on inside, and connect more deeply with yourself. No performance. No judgment. Just room to breathe and be real. If you’re ready to explore who you are and how you want to show up in the world, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
As a mental health therapist and licensed clinical social worker, I find great honor in walking alongside people amid different seasons of life. I work to tailor my approach towards each person's unique experiences, identities, and needs. I approach my work from a relational and trauma-informed framework while drawing from a variety of treatment modalities. My aim is to create a safe and trusting therapeutic environment that equips clients to achieve their individual goals ultimately enriching their lives. I commonly work with people presenting with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I additionally have specialized training and experience working with those who have endured complex trauma, sexual harm and those who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation or trafficking.

Hi, I’m Shannon Boe, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to supporting college students and adults as they navigate life’s transitions. Whether you’re managing anxiety, overcoming depression, or seeking clarity during a new life chapter, I’m here to help. On the outside, things might look like they’re working—but inside, it feels overwhelming, exhausting, or just… off. I work with thoughtful, driven people who are ready to untangle what’s going on and move toward something that feels better. My approach blends CBT, mindfulness, and relational work in a way that’s collaborative, down-to-earth, and actually useful in your day-to-day life. In sessions, you’ll find a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore what’s coming up and build practical tools for change. Our first session focuses on understanding your goals and creating a path forward that feels supportive and manageable.
